Count Blackcloud

Anna Tsiota

Background
Count Blackcloud — WordBird’s Wordland

Vocals by Anna Tsiota
Music & Lyrics by Andy Dench

Blackcloud the Count chills out at night
In his study which is centuries old
And his bathroom is plush – you just have to gush
At the pink – and the shower in gold!
But who haunts the old rooms? One only presumes
They’ll make your blood run cold!

Up in the attic, right at the top,
Lives a ghost who loves wailing and whining!
While down on the ground in the dining room
The Count loves wining and dining!
But who haunts the old rooms? One only presumes
They’ll be extremely frightening!

The Count in the lounge spills a drink on his guest
And a dog hounds a cat through the hall!
Smoke from the cooker spreads right through the kitchen
‘Cause the chef can’t cook at all!
But who haunts the old rooms? One only presumes
They’ll cause your skin to crawl!

All is not well in the basement downstairs
In the cellar the corks are popping!
The washing machine is flooding the floor
And the laundry room needs mopping!
But who haunts the old rooms? One only presumes
The horror will be heart-stopping!

The garage holds the Rolls that Blackcloud bought
With instalments and a deposit
In the bedroom there’s his ted bouncing on the bed
And a skeleton in the closet!
But who haunts the old rooms? One only presumes
Well, you wouldn’t wanna ask, “Who was it?!”
